ABOUT
Good day beans, if you got lost in the lengthy lore labyrinth or want some fun meta creator's notes then you're at the right place~ This is a slightly more comprehensive lore rundown to help you get kickstarted on this mess of a site (but also as an excuse for me to ramble about this heap of a passion project that's been brewing in my head since forever ouh)
> Odukora is basically my headworld/paracosm where all my stories take place in and where all my original characters reside. I've always enjoyed imagining unhinged fictional blorbo scenarios for as long as I can remember, but I've only truly started taking it "seriously" (as a lengthy passion project anyway) around 2018, which has lead to this near decade worthy of lore that I want to compile somewhere, mainly for self indulgent archive purposes, but also to throw it out into the void of the world like a message in a bottle to see where it ends up at as it floats beyond just merely residing in my head as fun scenarios. I've had plenty of attempts of archiving its lore online, from Toyhouse to Tumblr to the dreaded Amino app lmao, but to no avail none of them felt long lasting enough (or easy to navigate/organize anyway) for me to bother keeping them around. For a while all of the lore are just scattered across notes, and it wasn't until around 2024 that I realized the potential of simply coding a whole site from scratch out of spite seeing as there doesn't seem to be a platform that truly caters to my tastes anyway. So came this site which is the highest honour I can bestow to my creations~
> Everything pretty much takes place across one lengthy ass timeline in the same universe, hence it being named Odukora Chronicles. Though the title is more for the sake of it sounding cool than anything, since its less of an overarching series but more of a compilation of random shenanigans that happens across the timeline in different locations/regions either simultaneously or not. Characters don't tend to reappear in several stories (save for the occasional spin-offs) so you don't actually need to dig the lore in any chronological order to know whats going on. While a lot of stuff are interconnected in wack ways and knowing the full extent can spice up the experience, the stories are mostly developed individually and can be enjoyed separately. These stories are intended to be written in an illustrated novel esque format though they're all perpetually stuck in development limbo, so currently they're multimedia storytelling projects where I dump all the lore via artwork + written snippets + playlists + moodboards + edits + animatics + the occasional memes as a peek into these characters' lives, most of which will be uploaded onto this site eventually, but there's currently also quite a lot of off-site stuff to be dug around with the links I've included on the homepage.
> The main setting is completely fictional and mostly fantasy, though the contexts in which it exists can vary a bit (think medieval / modern / futuristic etc) depending on which part of the timeline the stories take place in. So far most stories tend to lean towards the modern fantasy vibe though where magic and technology coexist and are commonly used together. Genre wise its again largely fantasy, but tend to lean into elements of adventure, mystery, action, with the occasional romance and psychological horror (cuz I'm oc shipping trash and I like to put them in terrible scenarios lol) They commonly overlap across stories but I usually only label the two most prominent ones. The darker themes are more often explored in the main stories which are majorly very lore heavy with large casts. Standalones and spin-offs are more likely to have slice of life / light-hearted elements with smaller casts and intended to be shorter.
> All characters of mine are anthropomorphic animals cuz furries are fun and I just like to play with creatures. I have over 200+ characters across all stories (some of them are yet to be listed on the site), but honestly only around 50+ of them have story relevant roles (or are actively my brainrot on a daily basis anyway lmao) I tend to focus more on writing the profile pages for the main + supporting casts so that's usually all you need to go through to get the gist for most stories.
> My most developed stories are The Eternal: Fallout (my one true magnum opus foreverrrrrrrr) and Paradigm of Empyrean (which tends to be written in parallel with the former). The two have been in active development for as long as the passion project has been around, so I somewhat suggest starting with those if you wanna get to know more about the characters and stories a little more, but lately I'm also very invested in developing the rest of my stories (though they're likely gonna be developed rather sparingly cuz the favoritism is real lmao) All individual story pages link to their respective cast rosters and in depth plot dumps, and I intend to link all relevant artwork + writing pieces + bonus offsite media eventually when I get around to it. That said all stories are in active development and likely will have lore that aren't set in stone for the time being, though the two aforementioned stories have been around longer and have gone through several renditions/revamps that their current versions are the most solid ones and less likely to go through drastic changes.
> If you solely want to know the character count across all stories I have them compiled on the character masterlist page. This is also where I link all their profiles for quicker access outside of the individual story pages that they also feature in. Worldbuilding wise the world page is a good start though so far there's not toooo much development to be seen aside from the lands section that I've put a lot of thought into lmao. I tend to worldbuild for story specific reasons even if said worldbuilding lore also does just simply exist out of plot device reasons, but most dumps are likely gonna be linked within the story pages first simply cuz these stories take the most space within my brain lol, but also cuz a lot of lore are easier understood when read within story context. Anyways yeag have fun digging!!!
Good day beans, thank you if you've managed to read all that (or have dug anything on this site for that matter lol) This is just a lengthier about me section aside from the one that's already on the homepage. Low-key I don't know what to talk about myself as compared to the vibrant lore that my characters and stories already have, anyways-
Hoi I'm Mauve (they/she), a twenty-something uni student from Southeast Asia who codes this unhinged site in her non-existent free time with their non-existent energy. Aside from my evident never-ending brainrot about art/writing/world-building shenanigans, I love the colour purple (obviously), blueberries (but they're so expensive here), northern lights (on my bucket list to see them alongside seeing snow!!!), anything related to stars, eating shrimp (nyom), watching videos (especially about media analysis, cooking/food history and pet care of creatures I don't intend on keeping anyway lmao), pasta, afternoon naps, cats, architecture (guess my major lol), canned fish, photography, sculpting with clay, listening to my lengthy curated playlists whilst imagining blorbo scenarios, implementing motifs and parallels in all my stories, hyping up other ppl's OC art and stories and everything else (I LOVE HEARING ABOUT OTHER BLORBOS FROM THE BRAIN) and many many other things I'm probably forgetting. I'm queer in some flavours (genderfluid + biromantic + demisexual) and very likely autistic lmao
I suckass at gaming so there's not a lot of things I play, but I love me some Stardew Valley and Minecraft. I hold an obnoxious sentimentality towards games like Club Penguin and Animal Jam cuz they were my shit growing up lmao, I also don't watch a whole lotta stuff but some things I dig include Frieren, Madoka Magica, Dungeon Meshi, Good Omens and MLP. Music wise you can probably get the gist of what I like by scrolling through all the playlists that I feature on this site cuz my taste is all over the place. I was a dedicated BTS fan as a teen so you'll see me scatter them across my playlists occasionally cuz they still slap lmao, these days I lean more towards poprock and whatever stuff I find neat depending on mood, that said I enjoy finding osts from media that fits my vibes.
I'm not very fond of hot weather (ironic considering where I'm at), crowded noisy places, waking up early, mingling in fandoms of any kind (srry lol), bitter coffee, and all the heaps and heaps of woes that comes with figuring out blorbo lore......... (make it make sense!!!!!)
Overall I've been drawing since forever, but have only started taking it seriously around 2016 (which is also when my digital art journey started all thanks to Animal Jam lol), writing on the other hand is more like a side hobby that started around 2018 after realizing I can't possibly animate every single character interaction in my head lmao (back then I posted it all on Wattpad), its only recently that I've coded this site and frankly, I'm a very amateur webmaster, and whatever coding experience I've got are pretty much self-taught after I've failed to scrape whatever code related knowledge that was taught back in middle school lmao, though so far I'm really enjoying the ride and look forward to expand upon the site whenever I get around to, it's practically another new side hobby at this point, cheers to more wack blorbo stuff~
