INTRODUCTION

A humble farm kid turned determined explorer, Lio struggles to feel belonged in a prestigious explorer agency that deems them incompetent. In a twist of fate, they are thrown into the world of wild magic with their explorer buddy Truffs after an accidental run in with the outlawed alliance. With a reluctant but much needed change in affiliation, they're on their way to defend their hometown from corrupted creatures whilst seeking for their old friend, Jingle who got lost in a mountain expedition known as the Eternal, all while being a coward about being on wanted posters.

PERSONALITY

> Down-to-earth and approachable, Lio is more of a listener than a talker which somehow makes him a calm, comforting presence to others despite their awkward demeanor. They're quite timid but not necessarily soft-spoken, choosing to speak in a cautious manner though it tends to make him a bit of a people-pleaser. They get along with others fairly easily but tends to freeze in the face of conflict.

> Having grown up on a farm and lived a relatively humble life, Lio was raised to believe hardwork pays off which leads them to be very dedicated to anything that he sets out to do even in the face of uncertainty. Their upbringing has also led them to be quite distasteful of being under the spotlight, preferring to blend into the crowd and being a follower unless circumstances call for them to step up.

> As an explorer, Lio comes across as overly reluctant and anxiety ridden, the agency in particular is especially aware of this and thinks they're better off doing their own thing instead of continuing to taint their prestigious reputation. Even then, Lio remains determined to keep their role, seemingly unaware that blind obedience doesn't get them anywhere, though that'll be something he has to figure out eventually.

> Lio tends to fear doing the wrong thing as he worries that they'll cause harm unintentionally, which makes him indecisive and hesitant as they go over all the worst case scenarios in their head. They aren't that willing to put up a fight and tends to doubt and question their own competence, thinking they're mediocre and amateurish at best, struggling to feel belonged as they deem others to be better than them.

> To his friends, Lio is supportive and thoughtful even if they're not aware of it and thinks that they're not good at comforting others. They aren't that easy to anger and is usually very patient and understanding. He tends to offers to listen even if they don't know what to say in return, and tries their best to help out and be someone they can depend on. Lio grew up not having many friends so they appreciate anyone that bothers to stick around for the long run.

> Those that are close to them would know Lio to be someone that has a bit of a cheeky side. When they're comfortable, they can be light-hearted and easy-going, going as far as to tease others. Though they seem meek, they aren't above having fun when they're in the mood for it.

She's been very eager to show me what life is like as a recruit of the alliance though, which I'm slowly getting used to, but its still a huge leap from the mundane.
